How KidStand Works
From a kid's idea to real earnings — with parents in control every step of the way.
Six steps from idea to payout
The kid creates a stand
Choose a product with fun icons, set a raising-money goal, add a photo, and drop a map location. Only a rough area is shown publicly — not your exact address.
A parent approves & unlocks it
Nothing goes live without a parent. They review the stand and pay a $1.99 Go Live fee or use the $24.99/year annual family plan (up to 2 kid profiles, unlimited stands).
The stand goes live with a QR code
Print or show the stand's QR code. An open-duration timer counts down and auto-closes the stand when time runs out.
Customers pay with a tap
Neighbors scan the QR code, choose an amount, add an optional tip, and pay securely through Stripe. No KidStand account required.
The kid sees money earned & customers
The live stand screen shows real-time earnings and customer count. After closing, a friendly reflection shows Earned, Costs, and Kept.
Parents manage payouts to the bank
Earnings collect in the parent-managed wallet. Parents enable Stripe Connect, then request payouts (minimum $10) to their bank whenever ready.
