Running a stand (for kids)

Create a stand, set your goal, go live, share your QR code, and reflect on how it went.

Plan your stand

Before creating a stand, you can plan what to sell and think about your money goal. KidStand uses friendly language: Earned (what you made), Costs (what you spent), and Kept (what is left).

  • Pick a product β€” lemonade, cookies, candy, or something else.
  • Set a money goal for something you care about.
  • Optionally add costs to learn about profit.

Create your stand

  • Add a fun photo of your stand or product.
  • Choose your product type and write a short description.
  • Set your money goal.
  • Drop a pin on the map where your stand is located. Only a rough area is shown publicly β€” not your exact address.
  • Choose how long your stand stays open (the open-duration timer).

Ask a parent to go live

Your stand cannot accept payments until a parent approves it. Tap "Ask your parent to make your stand live" and hand the phone to a parent. They will review your stand and pay the Go Live fee or use the family annual plan.

While your stand is live

  • Show your QR code β€” neighbors scan it to pay.
  • Watch Money earned and Customers update in real time.
  • Use Boost to tell the neighborhood your stand is open.
  • Keep an eye on the countdown timer. Your stand auto-closes when time runs out.

After your stand closes

KidStand shows a reflection screen with how your stand did β€” Earned, Costs, and Kept. You can review stand history anytime to see past stands and what you learned.
