Sign in with Apple or Google fails
- Check your internet connection.
- For Apple β ensure you are signed into iCloud on the device and two-factor authentication is enabled.
- For Google β try signing in through Safari if the in-app browser fails.
- Force-quit KidStand and try again.
- If you previously deleted your account, you may need to contact support@kidstand.app.
Parent setup link expired or invalid
Setup links are single-use and expire for security. On the kid's device, generate a new "Set up with a parent" link and send it again. Open the new link in Safari or Chrome β not an embedded in-app browser if possible.
Web setup wizard stuck
- Allow pop-ups for kidstand.app (needed for Stripe Connect).
- Disable content blockers temporarily during payment setup.
- Try a different browser or device.
- Ensure you complete each step β household, kid profile, then Enable Payments.
Kid device did not unlock after parent setup
- Keep the kid's app open and connected to the internet for up to a minute.
- Force-quit and reopen KidStand on the kid's device.
- Confirm the parent finished all wizard steps including kid profile creation.
- Generate a new setup link if the session timed out.
Age gate
KidStand requires parents to confirm they are 18 or older and a legal guardian. Kids use profiles under a parent household β they do not create standalone adult accounts.
